  • For me, once I started blogging consistently, traffic steadily increased from the start.

    If you have a brand new website it may take a bit longer because you have to establish your authority with Google, but good news, you establish your authority by blogging.

  • No! In fact, if you have a presence on IG, I recommend you keep your IG profile at the very least. I’ve kept mine, but I literally never post there anymore. I keep in touch with people I built relationships with and I still get the occasional follower. People go there to vet you, so keep it!

  • Not at all! Blogging is your most important and impactful long-form content. It’s a FANTASTIC starting point for your social media posts and a great way to maintain consistency with your online presence.

  • This course does not cover Squarespace email campaigns for 2 reasons.

    1) I don’t personally recommend Squarespace as an Email Service Provider (ESP). There are so many ESPs out there that are much better AND cheaper. My favorite is ConvertKit.

    2) Email marketing is a very complex subject. I see this as either being a) added to this course as an upgrade or b) a course all its own.

    By buying into the Blogging With Squarespace course now you are getting the lowest price it will ever be. Adding a module for email and ESPs will take time and inflate the cost of the course.

  • I will provide some pointers, particularly about the blog overview page. But this is not a course in design.

    I WILL show you what to do in Squarespace to maximize their SEO tools, improve website functionality, and increase engagement with your blog.

  • All of my tutorials are in Squarespace 7.1. This is the most up-to-date version of Squarespace and comes with Fluid Engine, a super easy interface that makes everything you do in Squarespace easier IMO.

    That said, Squarespace blog pages still use the Classic Editor consistent with 7.0.

    If you are still using 7.0, the settings will look different.

    Squarespace 7.1 is better for SEO. Friend, if you’re not on 7.1, it’s time to upgrade.

  • Squarespace has used the “Classic Editor” for many years now, so if you have used Squarespace before you likely have used this editor. There is now a new editor called “Fluid Engine” (for 7.1 only).

    Blog pages still use Classic Editor.

  • No, this tool is not a prerequisite to blogging, but it’s helpful and if you use it regularly you will slowly get better at understanding SEO. You can get started for free.
